Website Membership Policy
Version v1.5 | 2026-09-30 | Association-approved version of 09/29, V1
Site note: Paid membership is now handled by the Association via bank transfer; the procedure and start date will be announced separately. This website does not currently offer online payment. In addition, joining as a website member currently requires also being a friend of the Association’s LINE official account (those who sign in with Google or Facebook must first link a LINE account).
1. What is website membership?
Vision Association believes that each person’s everyday choices are the starting point for changing the world.
Through the website membership system, we connect activities, everyday offers, sustainability actions and local resources, so that everyone who shares the vision can take part more easily, enjoy member services, and join us in putting “sharing resources, creating the future” into practice.
In order to provide services and benefits suited to different levels of participation, website membership is divided into:
- Free membership
- Paid membership
Once registration on the website is complete, free members may use the basic member services provided by the Association; once the annual membership fee has been paid, paid members may further enjoy offers and related benefits exclusive to paid members.
2. Website membership differs from Association membership
- “Website member” in this policy refers to a user who has joined the member services of the Vision Association official website.
- Website members, whether free or paid, are not “members” as defined by the Association’s charter and the relevant laws and regulations governing civic organizations.
- Joining as a website member does not mean becoming a member of the Association. Website membership therefore does not carry the rights of Association members under the law or the Association’s charter to attend the general assembly, to vote, to elect, to be elected or to recall, nor any other member rights; nor does it carry the obligations of Association members set out in the Association’s charter.
- Anyone wishing to become a member of the Association should submit a separate application in accordance with the Association’s charter.
3. Membership categories, fees and validity periods
(1) Free membership
- Membership fee: free.
- Free membership is granted once website registration is complete, the required member information has been provided, and the relevant membership rules have been agreed to.
- Free membership is in principle not subject to a fixed validity period; members may continue to use the free member services provided by the Association.
- Free members may pay the annual membership fee at any time to upgrade to paid membership.
(2) Paid membership
- Membership fee: NT$600 per year.
- A free member is upgraded to paid membership once the annual membership fee has been paid.
- Paid membership takes effect on the date payment is completed and is valid for one year.
- Before paid membership expires, the Association may send a renewal notice via the website, LINE, email or other suitable means.
- Members who wish to continue their paid membership should pay the following year’s membership fee in the manner announced by the Association.
- Once renewal is complete, paid membership and the related benefits continue for a further year.
- Paid membership is paid annually; there is no automatic renewal or automatic debit.
- If a member does not complete renewal before paid membership expires, the benefits exclusive to paid members cease upon expiry and the membership automatically reverts to free membership.
4. What do website members receive?
Website members receive different services and benefits according to membership category:
(1) Free member benefits
- Member account and member centre: use of a member account and the member centre to view or manage personal member information and related service records.
- Activity information and registration: access to information on the Association’s public activities, talks, markets, charitable activities, volunteer service and other activities, with registration according to the rules of each activity.
- Taking part in vision actions: access to information and opportunities to take part in the Association’s charitable, sustainability, community service and other vision actions.
- Member information services: receipt, according to personal settings, of the Association’s activity, charitable action, partnership and other member messages.
- Other free member services: the Association may add to the services available to free members in line with actual operations and service development.
(2) Paid member benefits
In addition to all of the free member benefits above, paid members also receive:
- Partner merchant offers: with a membership number, barcode or other member credential designated by the Association, offers at accommodation, dining, leisure and entertainment, everyday service and other partner merchants working with Vision Association.
- Activities exclusive to paid members: participation in activities, gatherings, talks, experiences and other exclusive programmes held from time to time for paid members only.
- Priority registration for activities: for some activities held by or in partnership with the Association, paid members may be offered priority registration or dedicated places.

- Choose to upgrade to paid membership
- Confirm the paid member benefits and the annual membership fee

Once payment is successful, the benefits exclusive to paid members apply, and membership status and validity period can be viewed in the member centre.
6. Use of membership credentials
- Each website member receives a dedicated membership number, barcode or other means of member identification designated by the Association.
- When using partner merchant or other exclusive offers, paid members should present a valid membership credential designated by the Association.
- Membership credentials are for the member’s own use only and may not be transferred, lent, sold or provided for use by others.
- When member offers are used, partner merchants may ask the member to present a membership credential and, where necessary, may verify related identity information.
- Where impersonation, transfer or other improper use is found, the Association may suspend the related member benefits.
7. Partner merchants and offers
- Partner merchant offers are in principle a benefit exclusive to paid members; where an individual partnership programme is open to free members, the announcement for that offer applies.
- The Association will continue to establish partnerships with merchants and partners of various kinds in order to provide offers for website members.
- The content of each partner merchant’s offer, the membership categories to which it applies, the applicable period, how it is used, any restrictions and the actual services provided are governed by the latest announcements on the Association’s official website and by each partner merchant.
- Partner merchants and the content of offers may be added, changed or ended due to the partnership period, operating circumstances or other factors. The Association does not guarantee that a particular merchant or a particular offer will remain available throughout a member’s validity period.
- Purchases of goods, services, bookings, payments and other transactions between a member and a partner merchant form a transaction relationship between the member and that merchant.
8. Activity-related benefits
- General public activities held by the Association may be open to registration by free members and paid members in accordance with the rules of each activity.
- Depending on the activity, the Association may offer paid members priority registration, member-only places, member prices or other benefits.
- Some activities may be limited to paid members; actual eligibility is governed by the announcement for each activity.
- Whether an activity charges a fee, and its registration methods, cancellation methods and refund rules, are governed by the announcement on each activity page.
- The paid member annual fee does not mean that the fees for all of the Association’s activities are included.
9. Renewal, change of membership status and termination
- Before paid membership expires, the Association may notify the member to renew.
- Members who wish to continue enjoying paid member benefits should pay the following year’s membership fee in the manner announced by the Association.
- Once renewal is complete, paid membership continues for one year from the day after the original validity period ends.
- If renewal is not completed, no automatic debit or renewal will occur.
- Where paid membership expires and renewal is not completed, the membership will automatically revert to free membership and the benefits exclusive to paid members will cease.
- After reverting to free membership, the original member account and basic member information are retained, and the member may still use the services available to free members.
- A free member may pay the annual membership fee again at a later date to upgrade to paid membership.
- Members may apply to terminate their website membership by the means provided on this website.
- Where a member impersonates another person’s information, transfers membership, abuses member offers, interferes with website services, engages in unlawful conduct or otherwise seriously breaches this policy and the Terms of Service, the Association may, depending on the circumstances, suspend or terminate the membership and related benefits.
10. Refund of the paid member annual fee
- Once a paid member has completed payment and activated membership, the various offers for the year become available; refund applications are therefore in principle not accepted, except where otherwise provided by law, in which case those provisions apply.
- After membership is terminated, offers, activity eligibility or other member benefits already used may not be converted into cash.
- Where member offers, activities or related services are not actually used for personal reasons, this does not affect the calculation of the annual membership fee.
11. Personal data and notifications
- Personal data provided by free members and paid members will be used for membership management, provision of member benefits, activity registration, service notifications and other purposes related to website member services.
- The collection, processing and use of such personal data is handled in accordance with this website’s “Privacy Policy”.
- Members may choose whether to receive the Association’s activity, offer or related promotional information; unsubscribing from marketing messages does not affect website membership.
- However, the Association may still send necessary notices directly related to member benefits, payment, renewal, activity registration, system services or membership status using the contact details provided by the member.
12. Adjustment of member benefits
- In order to keep improving member services, the Association may add, adjust or discontinue certain free member or paid member services and benefits in line with actual operations, partnerships and service development.
- The membership categories to which each member offer, activity and partnership service applies are governed by the latest announcement for that service.
- Where a significant change to the Website Membership Policy is involved, the Association will announce it on the official website.
13. Other matters
- Any matters not covered by this policy are handled in accordance with this website’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy and the relevant laws and regulations of the Republic of China.
- The Association may revise this policy as required by the development of the website services and the membership system; the latest version is as announced on the Vision Association official website.
