On 17 December 2023, our association’s second charitable event of the month took us to the Longtan Home for the Intellectually Disabled, a private institution in Taoyuan City. President Liu Chun-sheng personally led the directors and supervisors there to present a food donation, and once again invited the shawarma truck to join us.
The event came about very simply. A member of the association learned of the home’s needs in the course of daily life and came back to suggest it to the President. He agreed without hesitation: “Wherever we are needed, we go! Whenever it is the right thing to do, we do our best to do it!”
The food truck set up its griddle outside the grounds, and freshly made shawarma was carried in portion by portion. The association’s directors and supervisors also went inside to hand the food donation to the staff.
The home’s certificate of appreciation thanks the association for coming to donate and for sharing freshly made food from the truck with the residents.
