Protection on the air with no blind spots, covering drug and fraud prevention from every angle.
Each month the Zhongli Precinct of the Taoyuan City Police Department works with Taoyuan Radio on topics such as fraud prevention, drug prevention and youth crime prevention, using the airwaves to carry crime prevention awareness into every corner. For the episode on 26 December 2024, the precinct invited our association’s COO Chen Ting-kai, who works on fraud prevention, to join the programme.
The programme raised two reminders. First, the new drug known as “zombie vape pods” is spreading, and its ingredient etomidate has been reclassified as a Category 2 narcotic, so never try it out of curiosity. Second, “fake investment” scams, which account for the highest losses among victims, remain rampant; when you come across investment information online, remember to apply “zero trust”.
